Iowa trombonist Arthur Haecker presented his final DMA recital today, 4.9.11. Art is on the faculty of Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina and is the former Principal Trombone of the Amman Symphony Orchestra and Professor of Trombone at the Amman National Conservatory in Jordan. Drawing from his experience of living in Jordan, Art selected two Arabic pieces in addition to the standard repertoire and transcriptions selections. The program was as follows:
