Longtime director of the University of Iowa School of Music passed away November 22 in Iowa City, Iowa. I never met Professor Voxman, but there are few, if any, schools in America that did not use his Rubank band method or Voxman etude books. Having used both, I was directly impacted by his dedication to pedagogy.
